This project involved the renovation of a flat for a young couple and their baby. The apartment had the right number of rooms for the family but lacked a clear spatial hierarchy — all rooms revolved around a large central hall surrounded by doors, with no meaningful distinction between the daytime and night-time areas. The design sets out to address exactly this, giving the home a more legible structure that better reflects family life.
The key move is a single, precise gesture: a curve that reorganises circulation and transforms the former entrance hall into an active element of the plan. This new form guides movement from the entrance towards the living room, visually opens up the daytime spaces, and protects the privacy of the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The apartment’s dual-aspect layout and abundant natural light are enhanced through a restrained material palette and a calm, uncluttered aesthetic — creating a bright, serene interior perfectly suited to this new chapter of family life.
